Is ManyChat free?
Yes. ManyChat has a Free plan at $0, limited to 25 “active contacts” a month. This page collects what ManyChat’s pricing page and help centre say about that plan, as we read them on 2 November 2026. ManyChat says this plan is part of a pricing model it introduced on 2 March 2026.

What an active contact is
ManyChat’s help centre defines an active contact as a person who interacted with you through ManyChat during the billing month, counted once however many messages you exchange. For example, if 25 different people comment on your reel and get an automatic DM in one month, that month’s Free allowance is used.
After 25 active contacts
The help centre lists overage prices for paid plans only (for example $0.10 per extra active contact on Essential) and gives no overage price for the Free plan; it doesn’t say what happens on Free after 25. For paid plans it also lists alerts at 70%, 90% and 100% of the limit, and says automations may eventually pause far beyond the cap. The first paid plan, Essential, costs $17 a month, or $14 a month billed yearly, for 250 active contacts, before tax; the final price depends on the billing country.
If you need more than 25 people a month for free
Mr Clerko’s Free plan counts usage, not people: 250 comments processed, 100 public replies, 100 DMs and 100 tracked link clicks a month, for one Instagram account.
Questions
Does ManyChat’s Free plan need a credit card?
No. ManyChat’s pricing page says the Free plan doesn’t require one.
Does the Free plan include WhatsApp?
