Step-by-step guide
Send your link by DM when someone comments a keyword
Do your posts say “comment LINK and I’ll send it to you”? Mr Clerko DMs everyone who comments that word, automatically, even when you don’t have Instagram open, and the link arrives when they tap the button in that DM.

How the link arrives
When someone comments the keyword, they get a first DM that you wrote, with a button such as “Send me the link”. When they tap it, the link arrives as a button that opens it. Clicks on the link show on your Home page and in Analytics.
Steps
- Create a free Mr Clerko account and connect your Instagram Business or Creator account through Meta’s official login.
- Create a new automation and pick the post or reel that asks people to comment.
- Type the keyword in the trigger words, for example “link”. For more than one word, separate them with commas.
- Write the first DM and add the link that arrives after the button tap.
- If you like, turn on the comment reply so people see the link was sent, for example “Sent you the link in DMs”.
- Turn the automation on, and tell people in the post which word to comment.
Tips so people type the right word
Pick one short, easy word and show it clearly in the caption or the video. The keyword works inside a longer comment, so “link” also matches “send the link please”. Avoid very short everyday words, because they also appear in comments that aren’t asking for the link.
Questions
Can I see how many people opened the link?
Yes. The link goes out as a Mr Clerko tracking link that counts the click and then opens your link. Clicks show on your Home page and in Analytics. The Free plan tracks up to 100 clicks a month.
Can one keyword work on all my posts?
Yes. Choose “All posts and reels” and the automation runs on any post or reel on your account, including ones you publish later.
Does the keyword have to be exact?
No. The keyword works even inside a longer comment, and upper and lower case count the same. In Arabic, أ, إ and ا count as one letter, as do ة and ه, and ى and ي, and diacritics are ignored. You can add several keywords separated by commas.
How many DMs can I send for free?
