Step-by-step guide
Instagram comment auto reply
With Mr Clerko, when someone comments a keyword you chose, or any comment, on your post or reel, it can reply under the comment, send them a DM that gets them your link, or both. It runs on Meta’s official login and the official Instagram API.

What it does
You choose the post or reel (or all posts and reels) and the keywords that trigger it (or any comment). When a new comment matches, Mr Clerko can post a public reply under it and send its author a DM. When the automation has a link, the first DM carries a button such as “Send me the link”; when the person taps it, the link arrives as a button that opens it. Link clicks show on your Home page and in Analytics.
Before you start
You need a professional Instagram account: Business or Creator. Personal accounts can’t be connected. You connect through Meta’s official login, and Mr Clerko checks the account and its permissions before marking it connected.
Steps
- Create a free Mr Clerko account and connect your Instagram Business or Creator account through Meta’s official login.
- Create a new automation and pick a post or reel, or all posts and reels.
- Type the trigger words, for example “price, link”, or let it answer any comment.
- Write the DM and add your link. Turn on the comment reply if you also want a public reply.
- Turn the automation on. From then on, new matching comments are answered on their own.
Questions
Does the comment have to be the exact keyword?
No. The keyword works even inside a longer comment, and upper and lower case count the same. In Arabic, أ, إ and ا count as one letter, as do ة and ه, and ى and ي, and diacritics are ignored. You can add several keywords separated by commas.
Does it answer old comments?
Automations answer new comments that arrive after you turn them on.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes 1 Instagram account, 2 active automations, 250 comments processed, 100 public replies, 100 DMs and 100 tracked link clicks per month. Paid plans (Starter, Pro and Business) aren’t available to buy yet.
Is Mr Clerko part of Instagram or Meta?
No. Mr Clerko is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta. It runs on Meta’s official login and the official Instagram API and works within their limits.
